Program Overview
The Exeter MBA Programme
Overview
The Exeter MBA Programme is a 12-month full-time programme delivered at the University of Exeter Business School's Streatham Campus. It is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices, with a focus on sustainability, responsible business, and social impact.
Accreditation and Rankings
The University of Exeter Business School is triple accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Association of MBAs (AMBA). The Exeter MBA consistently ranks highly both domestically and globally, achieving a top 250 place in the 2025 QS World University Rankings and 64th in Europe.
Course Content
The Exeter MBA is built around the latest thinking and techniques from a wide range of management disciplines. A solid grounding in core business disciplines is acquired through core modules, while elective specialist modules enable students to specialise in their area of interest and tailor the programme to their career needs.
Projects
The programme includes five diverse MBA projects that provide hands-on, live, practical projects working with external businesses and organisations to solve real organisational problems. Each project provides experience of a different focus to build up practical skills, and the findings of each are presented back to the client.
Guest Speakers and Networking Opportunities
The University of Exeter Business School attracts world-class leaders to speak to MBA students, often in an informal setting ideal for networking. Guest speakers from Ecotricity, IKEA, IBM, IDEO London, JML, PwC, and Southeby's have contributed, along with a wealth of highly successful leaders, entrepreneurs, and consultants from a wide range of backgrounds.
Entry Requirements
To qualify for The Exeter MBA, students must have a minimum of three years' managerial experience. A GMAT score will strengthen the application, although it is not required. International students need to show they have the required level of English language to study this course.
Fees, Funding, and Scholarships
The tuition fees for 2025/26 entry are £44,700 full-time for both UK/EU and international students. MBA scholarships are available for September 2025 entry, with a guaranteed £10,000 tuition fee waiver through The Exeter MBA Award, plus the opportunity to receive scholarships worth up to 60% of tuition fees.
Careers Programme
The careers programme is designed to parallel and enhance the MBA learning journey. It offers timetabled in-class sessions, group exploration and learning, time for reflection and deeper understanding, and workshops with expert practitioners. The programme helps students to capture personal and professional insights, seek out opportunities for further professional growth and development, and practice and refine important workplace skills to achieve ongoing career success.
Working with Business
The MBA's corporate partners include some of the world's most enlightened organisations who place purposeful leadership, sustainability, and innovation at the heart of their business strategies. Students benefit from strong links and partnerships, working closely with a range of progressive organisations on Corporate Challenges and Consultancy Projects, as well as benefiting from insights and expertise through module engagement.
Programme Director
The Programme Director is Professor Donald Lancaster, a practice-led Management academic with significant experience and expertise in international marketing communications, management, leadership, presentation, coaching, and training. The Exeter MBA is taught by over a dozen leading business academics and researchers.
