LLB Law (for Brickfields Asia College only) - 2026 entry
Overview
This UK degree transfer program is for Malaysian students at Brickfields Asia College (BAC) only, for direct entry into year 2 of LLB Law (M108) or year 3 of LLB Law (M112). It provides BAC students with the foundation to pursue a professional legal career, delivering a rigorous understanding of legal principles as well as an examination of law in different theoretical and social contexts with a constant eye on regional and global developments.
Entry Requirements
Brickfields 1+2: Second Year Entry
- Pass all subjects with an average of 50% in Y1 at BAC.
- IELTS: at least 6.5 and no less than 6.0 in any other section.
- SPM English 1119 exam can be accepted in lieu of IELTS (but must have been completed no more than seven years prior to enrolment).
- TOEFL PBT: at least 570 and an Essay Rating of at least 4.0.
- TOEFL IBT: at least 100 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking.
- MALAYSIAN CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH SYLLABUS CIE 1119 (before 2021): At least English 1119 C.
- MALAYSIAN SPM (CEFR-aligned English language exam – after 2021): B2 overall with B2 in all components.
- Pearson Test of English (Academic) PTE and Pearson Test of English (Academic) PTE online: 67 with no less than 64 in all communicative skills.
Brickfields 2+1: Third Year Entry
- Pass all subjects with an average of 50% in Y1, and a minimum of 60% in year 2.
- IELTS: at least 6.5 and no less than 6.0 in any other section.
- SPM English 1119 exam can be accepted in lieu of IELTS (but must have been completed no more than seven years prior to enrolment).
- TOEFL PBT: at least 570 and an Essay Rating of at least 4.0.

Course Content
Summary
In Exeter, you will take modules adding up to 120 credits each year. In your third year, you may also choose to take 30 credits in a subject outside law, subject to prior approval.

Tuition Fees for 2025 Entry
International students: £24,700 per year
Brickfields-Exeter Scholarship
Our Brickfields-Exeter Scholarship will be deducted from eligible students' tuition fees in each year of study at the University of Exeter (up to a maximum of 2 years).
- 1+2 (second year entry) students will receive a total scholarship of £8,000 (deducted from tuition fees in two £4,000 instalments each year of study at the University of Exeter)
- 2+1 (final year entry) students will receive a total scholarship of £4,000 (deducted from tuition fees in one £4,000 instalment during their year of study at the University of Exeter)

Extracurricular Programme
Our Legal Assistance Programme offers a range of pro bono opportunities to provide valuable career experience. These include the Community Law Clinic, the Stop Abuse for Everyone charity, the Student Appeals Project, and Judicial Shadowing.
Exeter enjoys an international reputation for mooting, and our students have been successful in competitions all over the world. Mooting provides you with the opportunity to practise your advocacy skills in a simulated court environment. You’ll receive coaching from staff and present your arguments before volunteer judges in a purpose-built moot court. Our Student Negotiation Society also sends teams to the National Negotiation Competition.
