Overview
Our MEng Engineering degree offers you the freedom to explore core engineering disciplines before you decide on your specialism in the second year. You'll learn from world-leading academics and discover the latest ideas, research findings and emerging technologies in the field. We will train you to use specialist equipment in our state-of-the-art workshops and laboratories, enabling you to put what you’ve learnt into practice. The course has a strong emphasis on real-world projects, equipping you with the technical expertise and skills required for a successful career.
Entry Requirements
- Typical offer: A level: AAA, IB: 36/666, BTEC: DDD
- Contextual offers: A-Level: AAC, IB: 32/655, BTEC: DDM
- Required subjects: GCE A-Level Maths grade A and another science* subject at grade A
- GCSE: Grade 4/C in GCSE English language
- Access to HE: 30 L3 credits at Distinction Grade and 15 L3 credits at Merit Grade
- T-Level: Distinction in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing, or T-Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction
Course Content
- Year 1: Multidisciplinary ethos, core theoretical and practical knowledge in all engineering disciplines
- Year 2: Specialise in one of the core disciplines introduced in your first year
- Final years (three and four): Further develop your specialism, with the freedom to direct your studies and choose a larger number of modules

- Tuition fees for 2025 entry: UK students: £9,535 per year, International students: £30,900 per year
