Year One
- Engineering Practice and Project: Learn CAD from the ground up and develop practical project work skills.
- Industrial Design 1: Introduce yourself to the field of industrial design and develop key skills and techniques.
- Materials and Manufacturing: Understand the properties of materials and core manufacturing methods.
- Mathematics and Programming: Develop a strong theoretical understanding of mathematics and essential computing capabilities.
- Statics and Dynamics: Explore mechanical systems analysis, guiding you from fundamental static principles to dynamic engineering applications.
Year Two
- Design Communication: Develop CAD skills and learn to communicate design work effectively.
- Design for Manufacture: Understand design for manufacturability, design for assembly, and rapid prototyping.
- Industrial Design 2: Explore branding and marketing, sustainability, and engineering drawings.
- Introduction to Design Projects: Apply a structured design process to develop solutions for complex problems.
