The Classical Civilisation (with Foundation Year) BA program is designed for students who wish to pursue a degree in Classical Civilisation but do not meet the standard entry requirements. The program includes a foundation year that provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their undergraduate studies.

Qualification and Entry Requirements

• Qualification: Bachelor of Arts with Honours
• Entry Requirements:
  • BCC at A level
  • 24 points overall or 544 in 3 Higher Level Certificates (IB score)
  • GCSE English grade 4 (C)
  • Additional entry requirements may apply

• Start Date: September 2026
• Duration: 4 years full-time

Course Information

• Language and Culture
• Media, Communication and Society
• Narrative and Creativity
• The Project / Language Centre modules

Teaching and Learning

• Assessment methods: essay, poster, presentation, portfolio, creative piece, workbook
• Contact time: at least 12 hours of timetabled contact per week
• Study hours: students are expected to engage in independent study and research
