Philosophy and Modern Languages BA
Overview
The Philosophy and Modern Languages BA is a four-year undergraduate degree that combines the study of philosophy with a modern language. The program is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of philosophical concepts and theories, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in a modern language.
Entry Requirements
- ABB at A level
- 30 Points overall or 655 in 3 Higher Level Certifcates (IB)
- 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in each element) in IELTS
- Alternative qualifications, such as Access to HE Diploma, Advanced Diploma, BTEC HND/HNC, and BTEC Extended Diploma, are also accepted
Course Structure
The program is divided into four years, with the first two years focusing on the development of language skills and the introduction to philosophical concepts. The third year is spent abroad, where students can study at a partner university, work as a language assistant, or undertake a work placement. The final year is spent back at the University of Nottingham, where students complete their degree with a range of optional modules.
