Program Overview

The College of Art and Design values innovation in both education and continuous development. The Fashion Design Department within the College adopts the same values and academic standards. The Fashion Design Program within the College of Art and Design will be a significant addition to the undergraduate educational programs. Fashion Design is a multi-disciplinary field encompassing the aesthetics of design application, clothing manufacturing, and the influence of perceived beauty in cultural dimensions. The program introduces Fashion Design through integrated streams of courses, supporting progressive development. It offers elective courses covering carefully selected fields to meet market needs, providing graduates with opportunities to flourish and serve the industry creatively.

The Fashion Design Program seeks validation from the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities (SCU) and adheres to the National Quality Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (NAQAA). It also aims for international validation and accreditation from relevant organizations, taking a dynamic approach and seeking cooperation with pioneering international colleges/departments.

The main objective of the Fashion Design Program is achieving excellence in educational services through continuous improvement and successful accreditation. The multi-disciplinary approach facilitates benefiting from faculty members in the College of Engineering, College of Media, and College of Business. High admission requirements and a competitive scholarship system attract high-quality students. Continuous development of education resources and facilities supports the program's growth.

The Industrial Advisory Committee’s recommendations encouraged AASTMT to support national industries through education. All five programs within the College of Art of Design serve this purpose with their multi-disciplinary nature. The Fashion Design Program plays a proactive role in the future of Art serving industry, benefiting from the knowledge, facilities, research, and faculty of the College of Engineering.
