Program Overview


The Electronics and Communications Engineering Department offers a comprehensive study program covering a broad range of fields within the discipline. The updated core curriculum includes courses in embedded systems and machine learning, reflecting the evolving landscape of the field.

The department offers three main concentrations:

  • Electronics: Focuses on integrated circuit design, including analog/RF ICs, mixed-signal ICs, digital ICs, and reconfigurable architectures.
  • Communications: Emphasizes mobile/wireless communications, software-defined and cognitive radios, multimedia engineering, and wireless optical communications.
  • Biomedical Engineering: Covers rehabilitation engineering, biomedical instrumentation, system modeling and simulation, medical sensor networks, and signal processing.

  • Communications and Antenna Engineer: With advancements in communications technology, opportunities exist in mobile communications, satellite communications, antenna engineering, internet of things (IoT), communication networks, smart communication systems, optical communications, and more.
