The Oil and Gas engineering has a long history of innovation. Finding new and better ways to get at oil and gas resources hidden from view far in the subsurface has been a necessity to meet growing demand for energy. Oil and Gas engineering, the branch of engineering that focuses on processes that allow the development and exploitation of crude oil and natural gas fields as well as the technical analysis, computer modeling, and forecasting of their future production performance.

The department creates the much needed skilled manpower in Oil sector. The bachelor's degree program and graduates of this course have career opportunities as Petroleum Engineers.
