Program Overview

The Electrical Energy Engineering program at Smart Village Branch aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, analyze, and manage electrical systems and renewable energy projects. The curriculum covers a range of topics including Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Power Systems, Electric Vehicles, and Automatic Control, preparing graduates for diverse careers in various industries.

The program provides comprehensive and detailed information about the curriculum structure, graduates' job opportunities in local and international markets, student projects, and academic research projects. The department also offers postgraduate programs such as Master of Science and Master of Engineering degrees. Moreover, students have the opportunity to graduate with a dual degree from Northampton College through a partnership between them and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport. All engineering programs are accredited by the ABET Committee.

Graduates of the Electrical Energy Engineering program have opportunities in several key areas:

• Renewable Energy: Graduates can apply to local and international companies working in various renewable energy sectors, with a strong focus on Solar Energy, Wind Energy, and Nuclear Energy. The program prepares students for roles in system design, manufacturing, and project management.
• Electrical Energy: Career opportunities primarily consist of Generation of Power, Transmission of Power, and Distribution of Power. Graduates can apply to electrical companies in these categories for positions such as Electrical Power Engineer, Sales Engineer, and Control Engineer.
• Electrical Vehicles: The program addresses the growing potential in the electric vehicle sector, covering the construction and theory of operation of EVs. The program integrates theoretical information with practical experience through a well-equipped EV lab.
