MSc International Tourism and Aviation Management
Course Summary
The MSc International Tourism and Aviation Management course is designed to provide students with the theoretical background, skills, and experiences necessary to become a successful leader within the tourism and aviation industry. The course challenges students' understanding of tourism and aviation, gains employability skills, develops research skills, and prepares students for a career as a manager or senior manager in a dynamic industry.
How You Learn
Students learn through lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, industry lectures, site visits, face-to-face experiences, and airline and aviation operations management simulation. The course is delivered face-to-face over three semesters, with teaching scheduled based on the length of the course and the academic calendar.

Future Careers
This course prepares students for a career as an international tour operator, airline operator, airport operator, transport operator, destination manager, hotel manager, tourist manager, government employee, or tourism and aviation consultant.

Students study at City Campus through a structured mix of lectures, seminars, and practical sessions, as well as access to digital and online resources to support their learning.
Entry Requirements
- Normally an honours degree (2:2 or above) or a recognised equivalent qualification
- IELTS score of 6.0 or above, with a minimum score of 5.5 in each skill element or IELTS 6.5 for the Work Experience route
Fees and Funding
- Home students: £10,620 for the course
- International/EU students: £17,725 for the course
- Postgraduate student loans: up to £12,858 is available in 2025/26 for home students on most masters courses
