Overview

The BSc (Honours) Events Management (1 year top-up) course is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to succeed in the events industry. The course is a top-up program, allowing students to build on their existing degree and gain a deeper understanding of the events industry.

Course Structure

The course is a one-year full-time program that consists of four modules:

• Hot Topics In Events, Festivals, And Esports
• Live Event Experience
• Managing Outdoor, Sporting, Cultural And Creative Events
• Strategic Experience Design

Course Aims

The course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the events industry, including the latest trends, issues, and innovations. The course also aims to develop students' skills in event design, planning, and delivery, as well as their ability to work with clients and stakeholders.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the events industry, including its history, trends, and innovations
• Design, plan, and deliver successful events that meet client specifications
• Work effectively with clients and stakeholders to deliver events that meet their needs
• Analyze and critique event experiences from a strategic design perspective
• Develop and deliver professional and feasible event proposals
• Take a lead role in project management of events, including event design, sales and marketing, operations, health and safety, financial and business administration processes

Course Assessment

The course is assessed through a combination of coursework, practical assessments, and exams.

Course Fees

The tuition fee for UK students is £9,535 for the 2025/26 academic year. The tuition fee for International/EU students is £18,000 per year.

Entry Requirements

The course is open to students who have completed a HND or foundation degree in a relevant subject, with an overall merit profile from year two modules. Students must also have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or above, with a minimum score of 5.5 in each skill.
