Year 2

  • Game Art Development 1: This module focuses on 2D and 3D art creation tools and techniques, from pre-production through to a final game asset.
  • Game Art Production: This module extends students' core digital asset creation skills and employs planning and pre-production processes used in the game industry.
  • Game Art Theory: This module explores the fundamental theoretical concepts relating to the creation of art for games.
  • Game Project: This module equips students with the skills needed to work in multidisciplinary project teams.

Year 3

  • Art Direction For Games: This module develops an understanding of theoretical and practical concepts relating to art direction.
  • Game Art Development 2: This module introduces specialized techniques and skills that will introduce students to career pathways in the Games industry.
  • Game Art Pathways 1: This module enables students to choose a specialist pathway that corresponds with a role in the Games Industry.
  • Interactive Realities: This module introduces new methods and tools for creating interactive work outside the bounds of traditional screen media.

Year 4

  • Alternate Realities: This module focuses on storytelling across mixed reality platforms.
  • Final Game Project: This module enables students to undertake a design and development major project to produce a game or a set of game assets for a defined audience and to a high standard.
  • Game Art Pathways 2: This module further develops students' specialist pathway skills that they started in L5.
  • Research And Development Proposal: This module prepares students for their work in their 'Final Game Project' by conducting research into their chosen specialism.
