Acting, film and TV courses

Our acting, film and TV courses develop your critical and practical skills in tandem, preparing you for careers in writing, performing, production and journalism. As well as traditional lectures, you'll learn through workshops, seminars, screenings and field trips.

Facilities

Students benefit from the Sheffield Creative Industries Institute's specialist film and performance facilities. Film courses use theatres with 4K digital projection and 35mm film projectors, and give students access to an extensive film library, as well as the BFI's SIFT database. Performance courses use the Performance Lab, a fully equipped theatre space, and Steelworks, a state-of-the-art recording studio.
