BA (Honours) Marketing
Course summary
This course is ranked top ten in the UK by the Guardian. You’ll combine creativity, technical know-how and hands-on experience. Modules
Year 1
- Contemporary Marketing: This module introduces contemporary issues in business management, developing your awareness and understanding of factors affecting people and organisations in an ever-changing world.
- Foundations Of Business: This module introduces different types of businesses and organisations, focusing on operations, supply chain and marketing – developing academic literacy, business skills and future aspirations.
- Foundations Of Marketing: This module develops your understanding of marketing as a discipline. Through expert teaching, group activities and independent research, you’ll learn how marketing fits within wider organisational and brand contexts.
- Understanding People And Cultures: This module provides you with the knowledge and insight to lead, develop and engage with a diverse workforce, operating across varied business contexts.
Year 2
- Creative Brand Management: This module defines the concepts of branding, positioning and repositioning for sustainable competitive advantage, through research-informed teaching and interaction with external speakers/companies.
- Managing Business And Financial Performance For Marketers: This module develops theoretical understanding of performance management in marketing and equips you with practical tools and techniques.
- Professional Development For The Marketer: This module gives you the opportunity to enhance your employability attributes within a professional context through an enhanced applied project.
Year 3
- Consultancy Project In Marketing: This module applies your knowledge of contemporary marketing, developing critical and analytical research skills to inform decision-making in a real-life setting.
- Customer Insights And Sustainable Innovation In Marketing Strategy: This module develops your understanding of sustainability and its impact on new product development.
- Strategy In The Global And Digital Environment: This module enables you to critically evaluate how organisations develop and implement their strategies in a diverse, digital and global environment.
Future careers
Graduates from this course go on to a wide range of marketing careers, some in broad marketing management roles but also specific areas of marketing such as brand management and communications.

- UCAS points: 112-120
- GCSE: English language or literature at grade C or 4, Maths at grade D or 3
- GCSE equivalents: Level 2 Literacy or Functional Skills Level 2 English, Level 2 Numeracy or Functional Skills Level 2 Maths
Fees and funding
- Home students: Tuition fees for 2026/27 are not yet confirmed. Our tuition fee for UK students on full-time undergraduate courses in 2025/26 is £9,535 per year (capped at a maximum of 20% of this during your placement year).
- International students: Our tuition fee for International/EU students starting full-time study in 2026/27 is £18,000 per year (capped at a maximum of 20% of this during your placement year)
