Course Summary


The MSc Food Consumer Marketing and Product Development (Work Experience) course at Sheffield Hallam University prepares students to work in the dynamic, fast-paced food industry. The course is designed to provide a detailed understanding of consumer behavior within global food systems, marketing principles that drive purchasing behaviors, and the underlying science of food.

Entry Requirements


Normally, one of the following in a relevant subject:


  • An honors degree, 2.2 or above
  • An equivalent recognized qualification
  • An HND with significant relevant industrial experience

Relevant subjects include business, science, social science, and food-related disciplines.

The tuition fee for UK students starting full-time study in 2026/27 is £12,440 for the course. The fee includes dedicated employability support to help students prepare for and secure work experience.


International Students

The tuition fee for International/EU students starting full-time study in 2026/27 is £20,100 for the course. The fee includes dedicated employability support to help students prepare for and secure work experience.
