Adult Dual Credit - Counselling

Overview

Mental Health Across the Lifespan – HIB4T (College Course: HSP165)
This course offers an introduction to the basic concepts related to mental health and mental illness. It takes a lifespan perspective moving from mental health issues that occur from birth to death. As well as introducing what abnormal behavior is, how it is assessed and classified through the appropriate diagnostic tools.

  • Tuition, fees and textbooks will be covered through the Dual Credit program.
  • All students are expected to attend an online orientation session prior to taking part in any Dual Credit program.
  • To be eligible for this program students must be 21 years of age or older, aiming to complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Certification/Accreditation

Dual credit programs can help students transition from high school to college and apprenticeship programs. They can help students complete their Ontario Secondary School Diploma while customizing their learning with exposure to the college environment.


Students have the opportunity to:


  • Earn high school credits while studying at a local college or taking apprenticeship training
