Broadcasting - Television and Video Production

2 years – Ontario College Diploma

Overview

Work hands-on with video production equipment starting in your first semester. Learn every aspect of the trade from behind the camera or behind the scenes, including lighting, sound, producing and editing. Canadore's fast-paced, fully-functioning video production facility is equipped with high-definition studios, cameras and industry-standard editing software and equipment. Learn to produce music videos, commercials, documentaries and webisodes, and work on live productions that are broadcast online. Gain practical industry experience covering live events like OHL hockey games, and working on corporate videos and mobile productions using a YourTV mobile production truck.


Dual Diploma Option!

Graduates of this program are eligible to complete Digital Cinematography in two years.

Admissions Requirements

  • OSSD or equivalent, ENG4C or ENG4U
  • Or work related experience in the field.
  • An interview with the coordinator of the program is required in order to determine that admission requirements are met.
  • If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English competency.
