Program Overview


Electrical Techniques Dual Credit

Overview

This course introduces students to safety, nomenclature, tools, and basic electrical theory. Learners will study basic magnetism, electron theory, and simple circuits. The relationships between voltage, amperage, resistance; work, power, and energy will be covered extensively. Learners will also be able to solve electrical equations using Ohm's and Kirchoff's Laws.

Notes

  • Tuition, materials, equipment, and transportation fees will be covered through the Dual Credit program.
  • All students are expected to attend an orientation session prior to taking part in any Dual Credit program.
  • Students will be contacted by the SCWI Program Assistant, at least one week prior to the start of the program, to be provided with a date, time, and location for each orientation session.
