Fundamentals of Operating Systems
Overview
This course, along with A+ Essentials – Hardware, validates knowledge of basic computer hardware and operating systems, covering skills such as installation, building, upgrading, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, diagnosing, and preventive maintenance, with additional elements of security and soft skills. The Essentials Exam validates the basic skills needed by entry-level service technicians, regardless of job environment. It is recommended that students complete A+ Essentials Hardware before registering for this course.
Admission Requirements
You may enroll in a Continuing Education course at Canadore College if you are 19 years of age or older or if you have earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma/Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.

What You Need
