Program Overview


Gas Technician 2: Piping Fitter

Overview

This course, which is a requirement of the full Gas Technician 2 certification, focuses on topics from Modules 10, 15, and 22 of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority approved curriculum. The course is delivered in-person in our gas lab over one week and is an intensive, hands-on training course. Topics will include advanced piping and tubing systems, gas meters, pressure regulators, relief valves, and venting practices including how to properly install, repair, and inspect venting systems. We recommend completing GAS200 prior to registering for this course.


Admission Requirements

You may enroll in a Continuing Education course at Canadore College if you are 19 years of age or older or if you have earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma/Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
