Program Overview


Spatial Database Management and Integration

Overview

This course expands on skills learned from Introduction to Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) to understand large-scale enterprise integration of spatially enabled databases. Students will learn to secure, administer, and set rules for data that has a spatial component, using spatial measurements, functions, and indexes to process points, lines, and polygons. The course will culminate in students developing an enterprise GIS data model and utilizing efficient data processing strategies.

  • You may enroll in a Continuing Education course at Canadore College if you are 19 years of age or older or if you have earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma/Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
