Overview
Housed in the Department of Cellular & Molecular Medicine (CMM), the Graduate Certificate program in Biomedical Sciences sets you up for long-term success in both academic and career scientist paths within the discipline of biomedical science. The program provides you with a high-level, in-depth understanding of human anatomy, functional histology and cell biology. Courses - Embryology, Genetic Medicine, Bright-Field Microscopy, to name a few - are taught by esteemed CMM faculty, internationally recognized leaders in the field who helm innovative and highly collaborative research in deciphering mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of complex human diseases.
Graduate College Admissions Requirements
- An awarded four-year undergraduate bachelor degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable international degree recognized by the home country Ministry of Education. (For international students see Minimum International Degree Requirements.)
- Proof of English proficiency is required for international applicants who hold citizenship from a country where English is not the official language. (View our English Requirement list to verify your need to submit an English proficiency test.)
- Minimum GPA of 2.75 based on a 4.0 scale for Certificate applicants.
