Program Overview
Doctor of Philosophy in Hydrology (Doctoral)
Overview
The doctorate in Hydrology develops knowledge and expertise in the movement and distribution of water on Earth through the study of the water cycle, both processes - condensation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff and evaporation - and states - solid, liquid and gaseous forms. Building upon fundamental knowledge of surface-subsurface hydrology and water resources systems, you can adapt the program to suit personal interests and goals by using analytical, geophysical and computational tools in areas such as environmental hydrology/biogeochemistry, critical zone/vadose zone hydrology, hydrogeology, groundwater hydrology, and water security/policy. Your Ph.D. in Hydrology positions you for careers in private industry, government agencies and academia.
