Master of Science in Plant Science (Master's)

Overview

The M.S. in Plant Science is for students seeking a solid background in plant science and experience with research techniques and experimental design. You will receive training and research opportunities in molecular, cellular, genetic, genomic and physiological aspects of plants. Core coursework consists of cross-training in plant microbiology, while electives deepen your expertise in areas related to your intended research direction. Following the selection of a permanent lab, you will develop and execute a novel research project and disseminate your results through a master's thesis and a scientific publication. Graduates find fulfilling careers in areas such as agronomy, crop science, horticulture and Extension.

Graduate College Admissions Requirements
