CHEM050 Provincial Chemistry
Course Description
Chemistry is an essential part of the everyday world. Knowledge and understanding of its principles are the foundation for its applications in health, the environment, and industrial development. This course will foster an understanding of chemistry as a vital part of a sustainable society and includes qualitative laboratory work and mathematical treatment of chemical concepts. This course is equivalent to Chemistry 12.
Prerequisites
- "C" or higher in CHEM 040 or Chemistry 11 or equivalent
- One of:
- "C" or higher in MATH 040 or higher
- "C" or higher in Pre-calculus 11 or higher Provincial Level Placement or higher on CCP Assessment of Math Skills
Restrictions
- Must have been admitted to an NLC program.
