ENGL050 Literature-Based Provincial English

Program Description

The ENGL050 Literature-Based Provincial English program is designed to prepare students for post-secondary academic English courses. This program models the traditional academic English course and develops skills in the context of reading and writing about literature, including Canadian literature, from a variety of genres.


Program Requirements

  • Provincial Level English is required for the Provincial Diploma and is recommended for further academic study.

Admission Criteria

  • Prerequisites: "C" or higher in ENGL 040 or ENGL11 or equivalent or Provincial Level Placement on the CCP English Assessment.
