Overview
The Digital Media Studies Certificate is an undergraduate program that provides students with effective digital communication techniques for every platform using the latest technologies. This 15-hour interdisciplinary certificate program introduces students to the power of multimedia content — written, audio, and visual — and how it can be used to communicate with and persuade audiences.

Requirements
To earn a certificate, students need to complete five courses with a grade of B or higher. The program is available in three tracks:
- Digital Media Studies certificate (MRTS)
- Digital Media Studies certificate (COMM)
- Digital Media Studies certificate (TECM)

- New Media Experience (3 hrs): Provides an overview of the user experience design and development process.
- Digital Media and Society (3 hrs): Analyzes broader concepts related to identity, community, and privacy.

- Communications and Virtual Gaming (3 hrs): Explores the role of gaming technologies in communication.
