Program Overview
MSOE’s Master of Science in Architectural Engineering (MSAE) degree emphasizes building structural design and analysis. It meets the needs of architectural, civil or structural engineers who desire increased knowledge to design structural systems for modern buildings. The program is flexible, with courses offered evenings and the option of a two-, three- or five-year program.

Curriculum Format
The MSAE program is flexible, with courses offered evenings and the option of a two-, three- or five-year program. Classes meet one evening per week during the academic term. Students enrolled in MSOE’s Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering program may pursue a dual degree.
There are two curriculum tracks available – the Capstone Report Track and the Capstone Project Track.
Admissions Process
- Submit application online.
- Submit supporting documents to admissions counselor via email or mail.
- Completed file reviewed by program director for admission decision.
- Upon acceptance, submit your enrollment deposit to secure your spot in the program.
- Get access to your myMSOE account and MSOE email.
- Admissions Office registers you for appropriate coursework and sends schedule when finalized by the Registrar’s Office.
- You are officially an MSOE Raider!

MSOE is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, with additional program accreditation from the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, the Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission of ABET, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
