Overview

Detect the abnormal cells that cause leukemia. Analyze the cardiac enzyme activity from a heart attack. Identify the DNA markers for genetic diseases. This is the work of a clinical laboratory scientist.


Clinical Laboratory Scientists provide laboratory information and services needed for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Collaborative Program

Saint Peter’s University and Rutgers University offer a collaborative program leading to the Bachelor of Science in clinical laboratory sciences with a concentration in medical laboratory science.


Curriculum

  • Complete all pre-professional and general education requirements at Saint Peter’s University
  • Begin the 12 to 15 month (four semesters) of clinical/professional training at the Rutgers School of Health Professions and affiliated clinical/research facilities
