Whether you need to finish remaining coursework or complete your dissertation, Saint Peter’s University offers a flexible, fully online ABD (All But Dissertation) Completion Program. This program is designed for experienced educators seeking to fulfill the final requirements needed to earn their Ed.D along with receiving the support and structure needed to be successful.
Program Requirements
To earn your Ed.D., you’ll need to complete a minimum of 18 credits with us, including:
- 6 credits in dissertation research
- 3 credits in qualitative research
- 3 credits in Writing a Literature Review
- 3 credits Applied Research
- 3 credits in additional dissertation support course
- IRB approval in dissertation II

Admission Requirements
To apply for the ABD Completion Program, please submit the following:
- Complete an online application at saintpeters.edu/apply
- Undergraduate and graduate transcripts from previously attended institutions
- Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
- Personal statement of educational and professional goals (min 750 words) or Writing Sample
- Resume

The Online ABD (All But Dissertation) Doctoral Degree Completion Program is designed to support experienced educators in completing their doctoral degree in Educational Leadership (K-12). The program offers a flexible, fully online format and provides personalized support to help students succeed in completing their dissertation.
