Program Description

The Personal Support Worker program is designed to quickly and effectively prepare students for great PSW jobs. The program includes:


  • 9-month certificate program
  • 11 weeks of real work experience
  • 2 clinical placements, one in the community and another in a long-term care facility
  • Many students get hired straight out of their clinical placement
  • Financial assistance may be available to those who qualify
  • Multiple start dates, enrol at any time

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum of a Canadian high school grade 12 or equivalent, or a mature student
  • Pass an entrance test administered by Herzing College
  • Be interviewed in detail regarding interest in the field
  • Note: admission to some programs may include additional requirements
