Program Overview

In this three-year advanced diploma program, students concentrate on the complexities involved in the movement and marketing of products and services internationally. They build a foundation of general business knowledge and applications, focusing on the complexities of international trade, including exporting, importing, international marketing, international finance, negotiation, and entrepreneurship. Students also learn how to use industry-leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, including SAP and other software. The program offers a rich and diverse intercultural educational experience, with faculty having current industry experience in international business.

Work Experience

Optional Co-op

This program offers the option to complete a co-op work term, providing valuable hands-on experience in the field of study. Students interested in completing a co-op work term should apply to the Business Administration – International Business (Co-op) (BABC) program.

Students who select the co-op stream will have the opportunity to participate in a co-op term(s) if eligibility requirements are maintained. Students will have the flexibility to transfer to the non-co-op stream at any time. The co-op term(s) is typically a full-time paid position completed between two academic semesters. The co-op search is student-driven, and participation in the co-op stream does not guarantee that a work position will be secured. However, students will receive guidance and support through in-class career workshops and one-on-one coaching to help prepare for the co-op term.

Program and Course Delivery

This program is offered in Seneca's hybrid delivery format with some courses available in Seneca's flexible delivery format. Some coursework is online, and some must be completed in person. Students will need to come on campus to complete in-person learning requirements.

In courses delivered in the flexible format, using interactive learning spaces, professors teach in person to students in a physical classroom or lab and stream to students online at the same time. Students have a choice of coming to campus for an in-person experience or learning online.

• SAP Certified Associate - Integration of Businesses Processes in SAP ERP
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
• Microsoft Office Specialist Certification
• Certified International Trade Professional (CITP)

You will also be eligible to pursue the professional designation of Certified International Trade Professional (CITP).
