Program Overview

This eight-month certificate program is designed to improve English skills, with a focus on writing, reading, speaking, and listening. The program utilizes technology to enhance learning and prepares students for diploma programs at Seneca or entry into the workforce.

Eligibility

This program is suitable for individuals who:

• English is not their first language
• Have completed less than four years of school in an English-speaking secondary school

Throughout the program, students will develop the following skills:

• Written and verbal communications
• How to answer questions
• Understanding important information

Program and Course Delivery

This program is offered online and in a hybrid delivery format for students at Newnham Campus. With hybrid delivery, some coursework is online, and some must be completed in person. Students choosing hybrid delivery at Newnham Campus will need to come on campus to complete in-person learning requirements.
