Program Overview
The Practical Nursing program at Seneca is a two-year diploma program that prepares students for competent clinical nursing practice. Students work with experienced faculty to gain the knowledge, skills, and judgment required for the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.

Program Description
In this program, students study anatomy, physiology, English, and psychology to prepare for the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination. They participate in various learning modalities, including online interactive learning, collaborative group learning, simulation experiences, and direct nursing care in healthcare settings.

Program and Course Delivery
The program is offered in Seneca's hybrid delivery format, with some courses available in flexible delivery format. Some coursework is online, and some must be completed in person. Students need to come on campus to complete in-person learning requirements.
Career Opportunities
To practice in Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse, students must successfully obtain and maintain their registration certificate through the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
