Interdisciplinary Curriculum

  • Core modules in scientific method and advanced machine learning
  • Electives such as:
    • Time-Series Analysis for Climate Signals
    • Intellectual-Property Valuation
    • Graph-Theory Frontiers
    • Cognitive Science for Human-Centred AI
  • Doctoral seminars build skills in reproducibility, Horizon Europe proposal design and science communication
  • Short study visits to partner laboratories—from ESA research centres to venture-builder accelerators—let candidates test ideas in real-world contexts

Embedded in Active Research

  • The two partner institutions currently run over seventy competitive research projects funded by the European Commission and national science foundations
  • Working on these projects, candidates learn the complete innovation cycle: scouting calls, writing proposals, budgeting work packages, delivering milestones and reporting impact

Career Pathways

  • Practical experience dramatically increases employability
  • Alumni from Algebra Bernays University and FIŠ already lead data-science teams at Infobip, Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Rimac Technology, manage EU AI-ethics portfolios , and lecture at universities from Vienna to Singapore
  • Others have transformed their doctoral work into venture-backed companies in fraud detection, bioinformatics and digital-twin technology for smart manufacturing
  • Continuous mentoring, investor-match events and patent-attorney clinics ensure that today’s research can become tomorrow’s product
