Description
The conservation of archaeological, historical, and industrial buildings, which are our tangible cultural heritage examples, is one of the professional responsibilities of architects. The diversity of issues, related to the restoration and conservation of heritage buildings, is beyond undergraduate education of architecture and this field requires specialization and a deeper learning process.
The Master's Program in Restoration and Conservation has been established to provide education for specialization on the proper conservation of cultural heritage sites/buildings. It aims to equip graduates of architecture and related disciplines with the necessary theoretical, technical, legal, and social knowledge required for the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
Admission Requirements
- Holding a bachelor's degree in Architecture or an equivalent degree in related fields.
- Fulfilling all application requirements, including interviews, as requested by the University and the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research.
- Successfully completing all deficiency courses recommended by the Master's Committee under Conditional Admission.
- For Turkish citizens, submitting a valid ALES certificate with a minimum score of 55 in the quantitative category.
