Program Overview


Legal Pathway

The Legal Pathway is designed for students who have a passion for research, debate, public speaking, and writing. In addition to their academic course, students may be required to actively participate in either the Speech & Debate Club or Mock Trial Club throughout their four years.


Courses (choose 4)

  • AP Language & Composition
  • AP Seminar (project must be approved and related to the Pathways topic)
  • AP Research (project must be approved and related to the Pathways topic)
  • Latin
  • Speech & Debate
  • Speech & Debate Club or Mock Trial Club (full year active participation as verified by moderator)

Pathways Requirements

  1. Pathways will commence in the academic year.
  2. Students must earn a grade of B- or better in each academic course.
  3. Students may participate in a maximum of two Pathways over their four years at Bishop Montgomery.
  4. Each academic course completed may be applied to only one Pathway.
  5. Projects in the AP Seminar/Research/Capstone courses must be approved and related to the Pathways topic.
  6. Students must submit for each desired Pathway an Intent to Participate in Pathways form by October 1st of their senior year.
