Course Description

This course provides an environment in which learners will build on basic skills and knowledge of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori acquired in Te Hoe 1.


Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of the course, the learner will be able to:


  • Participate in karakia, hīmene, and waiata.
  • Recite his/her whakapapa in a mihi.
  • Understand basic tikanga Māori and Māori protocol.
  • Understand and produce simple sentences about oneself and family.
