EWRB Safety Training
Overview
Designed to meet the requirements of the Electrical Workers Registration Board, this 8-hour (1-day) short course must be completed within three months of being issued a Limited Certificate or Trainee Limited Certificate and holding a current first aid certificate for US6401 & US6402.
Course Content
- The hazardous nature of electricity
- The Health and Safety at Work Act
- Known hazards and special hazards
- Safety management of electrical hazards
- General safety practices in the workplace
- Safe use of tools and test equipment
- Analysing electrical incidents
- Safety and emergency procedures
- Fire safety
- Isolating electrical circuits from the supply of electricity
- Testing electrical circuits to ensure safety prior to reconnection
