Overview
Our Supported Learning courses are specifically for individuals with intellectual or learning disabilities. They’re designed to support a successful transition from secondary school to tertiary education. Students can do all four terms, or each term individually.
Course Description
Learn to communicate in ways that show respect for others and learn behaviours that are socially acceptable including manners, compliments, basic conversation, introductions, responding to questions, personal space, social networks and more. Students can do all four terms or each term individually.
Eligibility
This offering is for year 11-13 students. There are also a limited number of places available for students who are no longer attending school.
Requirements
- A minimum number of participants is required for this activity to proceed.
- If you’re not currently in school, please provide verified ID with your enrolment. This can be a passport or birth certificate, sighted and verified by Ara admissions staff, a JP, a solicitor/lawyer or a registrar/deputy registrar of the Courts.
- A third-party authorisation form is also recommended so we can communicate with your caregiver or nominated person.
