About
Information Systems (IS) is the use of management techniques to collect and process data in order to develop technological solutions for contemporary business problems. Individuals with IS backgrounds possess a knowledge of both business and information technology, which allows them to harness the power of technological tools to improve performance and productivity, drive innovation, expand business, and make better business decisions.

Notes
- Every student must complete a three-credit multicultural course and a three-credit international course. Courses satisfying other requirements may simultaneously satisfy the multicultural and international requirements except one course cannot satisfy both the multicultural and the international requirements.
- All courses in the major requirements section must be completed with a grade of C or better.
- Any course that is included as a prerequisite for a Lee Business School course requires a minimum grade of C or better.
- IS 210, IS 330, IS 335, and BUS 321 are Milestone Experience courses for Information Systems B.S.B.A.
- IS 495 is a Culminating Experience course for Information Systems B.S.B.A.
Modality
This Program is available Fully Online (starting spring 2026), Fully In-Person, or Blended. Students may select their preferred modality at the time of admission. Those who choose the fully online option are committing to complete their entire degree through online education and will be identified as fully online students in MyUNLV. If circumstances or preferences change after admission, students may request a change in modality through the official change of major process. Academic advisors are available to help students select the format that best supports their academic and personal goals and can assist with any changes needed.
