Programme Overview
The New Zealand Diploma in Dance equips students with a high level of technical, artistic, and interpretative skill in dance and provides the opportunity for practical performing experience. Students also study dance history, anatomy, nutrition, and gain the skills to become a successful self-employed artist.

- Jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, tap, musical theatre, and ballroom dance techniques
- Acrobatic techniques
- Body conditioning and Pilates
- Performance/repertoire skills

- Dance styles/Ballroom techniques
- Dance history
- Anatomy and nutrition
- Creative enterprise
All classes in this course are streamed into different levels best suited for the student’s growth and learning needs. Our highly trained and experienced tutors work one on one with students to ensure their goals are being met and help with their transition into work from graduating.
Entry Requirements
Domestic Students
- NCEA Level 2 or equivalent
- Evidence of skills/ability/aptitude based on audition and interview
International Students
- Proven equivalence to domestic entry requirements
- IELTS 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5)
