Programme Structure

This programme is designed for experienced automotive engineering technicians who want to work in an advanced technical role, specialising in electric vehicles. You’ll learn:

• Automotive Management: Learn how to oversee team responsibilities, including compliance.
• Drive systems: Learn to diagnose, analyse and repair uncommon and complex electric vehicle drive system faults to meet industry standards.
• Energy supply systems: Learn to diagnose, analyse and repair uncommon and complex electric vehicle energy supply system faults to meet industry standards.
• High voltage auxiliary systems: Learn to diagnose, analyse and repair uncommon and complex electric vehicle auxiliary system faults to meet industry standards.

This programme is delivered by regular night classes and short block courses, supported by online resources.

Entry Requirements

• An Automotive Engineering qualification at Level 4, or equivalent skills and knowledge.
