Overview
The PGCE Secondary History course at the University of Manchester is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking required to become outstanding secondary school History teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Entry Requirements
- Minimum 2:1 honours degree in history or a related subject.
- 104 UCAS points including a B in history or a related subject at A-level (or equivalent).
- Minimum grade C or 4 at GCSE (or equivalent) in English language and mathematics.

Fees
For entry in the academic year beginning September 2025, the tuition fees are as follows:

- UK students (per annum, subject to Parliamentary approval): £9,535
- International, including EU, students (per annum): £23,500
