Overview

The MSc Genomic Medicine program at The University of Manchester is designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to apply genomic technologies and data interpretation to clinical practice or scientific research.

Entry Requirements

• An honours degree (minimum Upper Second) or overseas equivalent in biomedical science, medicine, or nursing.
• Flexibility on entry requirements will be applied to candidates with appropriate extensive professional experience.
• Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) and Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) will be considered on an individual basis.

Course Details

• The program is available full-time or part-time.
• The full-time program takes 1 year to complete, while the part-time program takes 2 years.

Fees

• For entry in the academic year beginning September 2025, the tuition fees are as follows:
  • MSc (full-time): £13,000 (UK students), £34,500 (International students)
  • MSc (part-time): £6,500 (UK students), £17,250 (International students)
  • PGDip (full-time): £10,400 (UK students), £27,600 (International students)
  • PGDip (part-time): £5,200 (UK students), £13,800 (International students)
  • PGCert (full-time): £5,200 (UK students), £13,800 (International students)
  • PGCert (part-time): £2,600 (UK students), £6,900 (International students)

• Funding is available to NHS staff for course units on this program through Health Education England.

Policy on Additional Costs

• All students should normally be able to complete their program of study without incurring additional study costs over and above the tuition fee for that program.
• Any unavoidable additional compulsory costs totalling more than 1% of the annual home undergraduate fee per annum will be made clear to you at the point of application.
