This is a 3-month intensive online course focused on patient suitability, governance, compliance, and ethics in non-surgical cosmetic medicine. It is delivered and certified by Monash University.

Program Structure

The course is comprised of 7 modules:


  1. Current Federal Legislation relating to advertising non-surgical cosmetic treatments
  2. Current Medical and Nursing Board Legislation relating to non-surgical cosmetic treatments
  3. Body Dysmorphia
  4. State, council and poisons legislation relating to storage/handling/supervision and administration
  5. Patient consent
  6. Ethical considerations
  7. Assessment of patient suitability for non-surgical treatments

Learning and Teaching Activities

  • The unit will be taught by content experts over 12 weeks in a series of seven modules.
  • Case studies and practical exercises will inform discussions.
  • Students will be provided with reading material, and supplemental online resources to support their self-directed learning and assessment preparation.

Assessment

Assessment is via online exams, quizzes, and participation in tutorials. You’ll need to achieve at least 50% in all assessments to pass.
