Program Structure
The course is comprised of 7 modules:
- Current Federal Legislation relating to advertising non-surgical cosmetic treatments
- Current Medical and Nursing Board Legislation relating to non-surgical cosmetic treatments
- Body Dysmorphia
- State, council and poisons legislation relating to storage/handling/supervision and administration
- Patient consent
- Ethical considerations
- Assessment of patient suitability for non-surgical treatments
Learning and Teaching Activities
- The unit will be taught by content experts over 12 weeks in a series of seven modules.
- Case studies and practical exercises will inform discussions.
- Students will be provided with reading material, and supplemental online resources to support their self-directed learning and assessment preparation.
Assessment
Assessment is via online exams, quizzes, and participation in tutorials. You’ll need to achieve at least 50% in all assessments to pass.
