Program Overview
Marketing and Arts
The Marketing and Arts double degree course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of marketing principles and practices, as well as a broad-based education in the arts. This course is ideal for students who want to develop a career in marketing, while also exploring their creative and analytical skills.
Course Structure
The course is structured in three parts:
- Part A: Foundation business knowledge
- Part B: Specialist discipline knowledge
- Part C: Capstone experience
Part A: Foundation Business Knowledge
This part of the course provides students with a study of marketing and its impact on decision-making in organizations.
Part B: Specialist Discipline Knowledge
These studies will develop students' capacity as critical and creative professionals who can apply their knowledge of marketing to provide discipline-based solutions for business. Units contained within the discipline specialization may meet the requirements for professional accreditation bodies.
Part C: Capstone Experience
The capstone unit will consolidate students' knowledge and skills acquired through the study of their discipline and provide experience in multi-disciplinary processes and decision-making.
Arts Component
The Arts component of the course is structured in two parts:
- Part A: Arts listed major
- Part B: Arts specified study
Part A: Arts Listed Major
This part of the course provides students with a focused program of study that will develop their practical and theoretical skills and knowledge in one Faculty of Arts listed major area of study.
Part B: Arts Specified Study
This part of the course exposes students to several arts disciplines, contributing breadth to their knowledge of the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Students will have the flexibility of learning about several areas of study before finalizing their choice of major.

To be considered for entry into this course, students must satisfy the following requirements:
- Minimum age requirements
- Academic requirements
- English language requirements
- Prerequisite subject requirements
Minimum Age Requirements
At the time of enrollment in a course at Monash University, students must be at least 17 years of age.
Academic Requirements
All Monash undergraduate courses require students to have successfully completed a minimum of an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent) and achieve the required academic entry score.
English Language Requirements
All Monash undergraduate courses require students to satisfy English entry requirements in one of the following ways:
- English subject (Australian Year 12 equivalent)
- Language of instruction
- English tests
Prerequisite Subject Requirements
Students must satisfy the following prerequisite subject requirements for this course:
- English
- Mathematics
Fees and Scholarships
Fees are subject to change annually. The international fee for this course is A$53,200 per 48 credit points, which represents a standard full-time course load for a year.
Enrolment Obligations
International students enrolling in a CRICOS-registered course can study no more than one third (33%) of their course by distance and/or online learning. Students must enroll in at least one unit that is not by distance and/or online in each compulsory study period unless the student is completing the last unit of their course.
