Program Overview


MCHRI Women In Leadership Program

The MCHRI Women In Leadership Program is designed for highly motivated women working in healthcare, government, or research. The program aims to inspire, encourage, and support women to reach their full career potential.


Program Overview

The program is a short course that blends experiential learning with practical application, focusing on overcoming the unique challenges faced by women in leadership. Upon completion, participants will understand the principles of leadership, identify their drivers for leadership and influence, and gain insight into power, influence, and the value and role of leadership.


Program Structure

The program consists of a self-paced, pre-work e-module to be completed prior to Day 1, followed by two days of facilitated delivery, either in-person or online, depending on the program dates.

  • Background and the need for gender equity in healthcare leadership
  • Beyond gender: leadership and the intersection of marginalized identities
  • Leadership styles, mentoring, and networking, and leadership through purpose
  • Power, merit, bias, imposter syndrome

  • Building team and organizational culture
  • Leadership through purpose
  • Influencing change
  • Mentoring and networking
  • Work-life integration

The program fees vary depending on the location and type of attendee:


  • General attendee: A$1749
  • Discounted rate: A$1375 (available for employees of a Monash Partners organization, women working in nursing or allied health, women working in a rural or remote area, and non-clinical academics)
