Overview
The Diploma of Arts (Education) is a comprehensive program designed for students interested in pursuing a career in education. This diploma provides a foundation in arts and education, allowing students to develop their skills and knowledge in a variety of disciplines.
Course Details
- Location: On-campus at Docklands: Full time & part time
- Duration: PART 1: 9 months. PART 2: 9 months
- Start date: February, June and October
- Qualification: Diploma of Arts

Education Studies
The education specialisation is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in education. This specialisation can be completed as part of the arts diploma, providing a pathway to an education double degree in just eight months.
How it Works
- Choose your diploma and check you meet the entry requirements and subject prerequisites for part 2.
- Decide if you want to complete a double discipline diploma in: Arts and Education.
- Complete the same number of units as a single discipline diploma.
- Complete two education studies units and 10 days of work placement as part of your diploma.
What You Will Study
- Complete 6 core Arts units and 2 education units + work placement
- Contact hours: 5–7 hours per unit, per week
Entry Requirements
To be considered for entry to this course, you must satisfy the following entrance requirements.
Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)
- Qualifications:
- Diploma: Part 1 - No subject prerequisites apply.
- Diploma: Part 2 - Mathematics Australian Year 11* (or equivalent)*
